List Submission

Follow the three golden rules and all will be well.

  1. Lists need to be submitted The Monday before the event, Deadline will be midnight that night. Free cookies are for people that submit on time … you've been warned.
  2. All FAQ's and Rules changes that go live before the submission date will be in place for the event. Any exceptions to that you will be notified before hand.
  3. Make sure everything is on your list please, missing artifacts and heroic traits are a big no no etc.

Refund Policy

Battleground Gaming deals with all ticket sales, however if you need to cancel feel free to contact myself ASAP. Typically we only offer refunds for event tickets with 1 month's notice. However I will try to help the best I can if you fall after that point. Unless it's the day before then I will be painting terrain and will not be thinking about cancellations.

Tournament and Game details

Round length: 3 hours split evenly between the two players with 10 minutes at the start to be used for list discussion and setup

Painting requirement: We want to encourage new gamers to try the competitive scene so armies don't have to be fully painted. However it must all be primed and 3 units from your army must be battlefield ready (two of which can be hero models)

Scoring: Both the pairings and standings will be done via a Win, Loss, Draw as the primary with differential breaking ties. All done through Milarki.

Sportsmanship: Don't be a dick, we are here to waste a weekend playing games. Some people enjoy being competitive, some are there for the painting accolades and some people are their for the memes and dreams. Whichever you are we all deserve to have fun enjoyable games so please be patient and understanding with your opponents. Any issues give me a shout.

Clocks, Dice, Timings and Spot Prizes

  • There are chess clocks available but not mandatory for play. If you both players wish to use them then great if only one wants to then unless there are extenuating circumstances they won't be used.
  • Dice rolls should be clear and flat, use a dice tray or the table etc, make sure your opponent can see and try not to you bouncy squig dice you animals.
  • We will either have a big countdown clock and or vocal reminders for time remaining will be done throughout the round.
  • The Wheel of Khorne will dish out spot prizes throughout the day.

This is gonna be the 4th year of Fields of Slaughter, we continue to grow every year which is fantastic, the community is great and the gameplay is at a pretty high standard which is fantastic to see. I can only hope we continue to grow this year and into next. Thank you all and I shall see you in the trenches at the next event!
